Welcome to the Heartbreak Hotel!
Dear guests, dear friends,
My name is Erik, I am your future host and I am originally from Germany.
In 2024 I put down new roots in Norway and took over the hotel “Heidal Gjestgiveri” at the beginning of 2025.
In the future, the hotel plans to fully resume operations. However, some renovation work needs to be done before then.
Due to the renovation and restoration of the entire third floor, we will only be offering bed and breakfast in 2025. In addition, the room prices will be reduced for this period. The restaurant will be closed for the time being as the kitchen will also be completely renovated.
A beautifully renovated 18th century country hotel awaits you, with a pub and a dreamy outdoor area for endless summer nights and cozy autumn evenings by the campfire - simple, honest, romantic and full of stories.
Our 14 rooms will be partially renovated before the opening, equipped with new beds and lovingly furnished.
The bathrooms in the hotel rooms are small and authentic; their renovation is planned for a later date.
We also offer families a very special stay in our Heartbreak Escapes – beautifully located holiday homes with breathtaking views right next to Rondane National Park.
I have already completely renovated these holiday homes in 2024 to offer you all the amenities that no holiday should be without: peace, comfort, privacy and a unique view of Otta.
